This game was developed in Unity during a 10-week final project course, with approximately 8 weeks of production. The team included 6 developers, with 2 programmers.
Designed and implemented a custom recipe management tool for internal use, enabling non-programmers to create and modify game recipes efficiently.
Emphasized clean UI/UX and visual consistency, designing the tool to feel accessible and integrated with the game’s aesthetic rather than technical or intimidating.
Implemented core systems for in-game machines such as ovens and coffee makers, including conditional outcomes based on team interactions.
Actively contributed to debugging and refining systems across the project.
Played a significant role in gameplay design and game feel, compensating for the lack of a dedicated game designer.
The primary challenge was creating a scalable yet intuitive tool that could handle diverse gameplay scenarios without becoming complex for users. This required extensive prototyping and iteration. Achieving the desired level of visual polish also involved working around limited documentation and analyzing Unity’s editor systems in depth, leading to a robust and well-integrated tool.
